1. to부정사를 목적어로 취하는 동사

   1) 희망/기대/계획

       want to, wish to, hope to, would like to, expect to, plan to, aim to

   2) 동의/거절/의도

       agree to, refuse to, decline to, intend to

   3) 노력/결심

       strive to 노력하다,

       decide to, 

       promise to 약속하다,

       pledge to 맹세하다

   4) 기타

       need to, afford to, 

       manage to 그럭저럭 ~하다

       try to, fail to, 

       tend to 경향이 있다

2. to부정사를 목적격보어로 취하는 동사

   allow A to-v - be allowed to

           수여동사 용법 allow A + B : A에게 B를 허용하다.

   advise A to-v - be advised to

   ask A to-v - be asked to

   convince A to-v - be convinced to 납득되다

   design A to-v - be designed to

   force A to-v - be forced to

3. be동사+형용사+to부정사 관용 표현

   1) 예정

       be about to 막 ~하려고 하다

       be suppose to ~하기로 되어 있다

       be scheduled to, be expected to, be due to

   2) 가능

       be likely to, be liable to ~할 것 같다

       be apt to, be prone to ~하기 쉽다

       be ready to

   3) 소망/의지

       be eager to, be anxious to, be willing to, be unwilling to, 

       be reluctant to ~하기를 꺼리다

       feel free to 스스럼없이 ~하다

   4) 기타

      be pleased to, be delighted to ~하게 되어 기쁘다

      be sure to, be certain to 반드시 ~하다

      be eligible to ~할 자격이 있다

      be fortunate to ~하게 되어 행운이다.

4. 사역동사 + 목적어 + 원형부정사/과거분사

   let, have, make

   c.f. help도 돕다는 능동의 의미일 때 help + 목적어 + to부정사/원형부정사 가능

5. 부정사의 시제 표시

  1) to-v는 문장의 동사와 같거나 하나 더 미래 시점 (단순 부정사)

     The candidate seems to be honest. (동사과 같은 시점)

     We do our best to satisfy our customers. (동사보다 미래)

  2) to-have p.p는 문장 동사보다 하나 더 과거 시점 (완료형 부정사)

     The first civilization seems to have occurred in the valley of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers.

 

6. -ing 수식은 안되고, to-v 수식만 가능한 명사들

   ability to-v

   attempt to-v 시도

   effort to-v 노력

   authority to-v 권한

   opportunity to-v 기회

   need to-v 필요성

   time to-v

   desire to-v

   way to-v

   decision to-v

   plan to-v

   -ing는 수식하는 단어와 의미상 주어 관계가 있을 때만가능함

        A bicycle moving against traffic is illegal. 

        A sleeping boy

   to-v는 의미상의 주어 관계가 있을 때도 가능하고 없어도 가능함

        I have a brother to help me.

       They need some water to drink.

7. be+감정 형용사 형태에서는 원인을 나타내는 to부정사가 자주 동반된다.

   I'm happy to see him. 그를 보게 돼서 기쁘다.

   

8. lead 동사

   (자동사) 이어지다, 이끌려지다 ~to~ 

   (타동사) 이끌다 to-v, to 장소

9. work 명사

     (불가산명사) 일, 연구 (가산명사) 책, 그림, 연구 등

10. exact 의미

    (형용사) 정확한 

    (동사) 요구하다 She was determined to exact a promise from him.

11. with 명사 -ed/-ing

     동시 동작 및 동시 상태를 표현하는 관용 표현

     ~가 ~한 채로, ~가 ~된 채로

    With night coming on, the wind begin to blow.

    He entered building with his boots covered in mud.

    He talked to me with his mouse (being) full of food
