오늘은 6강, RC 3번째 강의

영어를 오래 했다고 생각했는데, 새로운 것도 많았다.

역시 시간을 많이 투입하면 많이 알게되는 것 같다.

1. 집합명사 (셀수없는 명사)

   비슷한 개념이지만 서로 다른 이름을 가진 명사들을 묶어서 지칭하는 명사

   clothing 의류, furniture 가구류, machinery 기계류, produce 농산물들, mail 우편물들, pottery 용기들, stationery 문구류

   a piece of ~ 형태로 사용

2. every/each

   every + 단수 명사 : 매번, 각각의 뜻으로 사용

   each + 단수 명사

3. 명령, 요구, 요청, 제안, 주장, 충고의 동사는 that 절 이하 (should) 동사원형이 온다.

   order, demand, ask, require, urge, request, suggest, propose, recommend, insist, advise

   동사 + that + S + (should) + 동사원형

   Experts advise that sunblock (should) be reapplied every hour.

4. -ing형 전치사

   concerning, regarding 관한, 관련된 (=about)

   

5. 의사들

    physician 내과의사

    surgeon 외과의사

6. accoun for

   부분/비율을 차지하다

   Three orders account for 15 percent of our annual revenues.

   Russians account for about 5.5 percent of the population.

   Winter fuel bills account for around 60 percent.

7. -ive로 끝나는 명사들

    executive 중역

    alternative 대체품, 대안

    initiative 주도권, 계획(=project)

9. article 문제는 첫 문장을 해석하고 시작

persist 지속하다 persistently 끈덕지게, 고집스럽게 persistence 고집
