오늘은 LC PART 1의 마지막 강의였다.

문법사항은 많지 않았지만, 다양한 표현들을 익혔다.

조금씩 익숙해져 가는 느낌이다.

1. Menu 관련 표현들

   look at a menu

   read a menu

   examine a menu

   study a menu

2. 커튼 관련 표현들

   커튼을 걷다

   draw (back) the curtains (open)

   pull (back) the curtains (open)

   커튼을 치다

   draw the curtains (shut)

   pull the curtains (shut)

   close the curtains 

3. 식탁보 관련 표현들

   spread out 펼치다

   cf. A cloth has been spread across the table.

   cf. Tables have been covered with table cloths.

   cloth 옷감, 직물 pl. cloths

   chothe 옷, 의복 pl. clothes

4. 가전제품 관련 표현들

   appliance 가전제품

    electrical appliance

    household appliance

5. 수건/건조 관련 표현들

   washcloth 수건, 마른행주 (=dishcloth 행주)

   wring 짜다 wring cloths 빨래를 쥐어짜다 A woman is wringing out a washcloth over sink.

   dish rack 식기 건조대  

6. cashier 출납원

   -ier로 끝나는 것 주의, 강세가 2음절에 있음
